I am just going to get straight to the point, because I have been going through my posts for a week trying to come up with one that I can put forward in hopes of being a part of the BlogHer Community Keynote, and I can't read my own words for another second.
At BlogHer '08 in San Francisco this July, (WHICH I AM GOING TO!), the organizers have decided that the closing keynote for Day One of the conference will be delivered by 20 bloggers like myself reading their own favourite entries. I want to be one of those bloggers, and I am not going to pretend otherwise.
Here is my problem, though: I cannot decide what post to put out there. I need your help, and I need it fairly quickly, because the deadline for this is Friday, June 13th, which is two days away. I have, with the help of a couple of friends, come up with five posts that I think have a shot of being picked, and they are:
1. Nerd Nerd Nerd Fame Nerd Nerd
2. Rage, Rage Against The Dying Of The Light
3. I Nudged Him Hard, Saying: "Come Gloopy Bastard, As Thou Art"
4. It's Kind Of Like Looking At That Book About Cats That Paint, Only Different
5. Animal Heat At The Zoo
In the following poll, pick the post that you think has the best chance of being picked, because I give up. It is ridiculous trying to go through all your own stuff and judging it based on what you think other people might think of it. It starts to feed all of your worst fears about actually really being a very terrible writer who should put down their keyboard and walk away.
Help me out, pretty please:
Feel free to suggest other entries, as well. It's late, I'm buzzing on coffee, and I stopped being cool about all this two days ago.
Thanks for your help. This Schmutzie's off to quell this anxiety with half a loaf of garlic bread.
